We aren’t giving up 5th(or the 9th overall you have it as) AND next year’s 1st unprotected for Zegras. we’re fine with keeping our picks

If Montreal trades us ninth overall as part of a package for Trevor Zegras, they certainly won't be including any kind of high draft pick (let alone a first) in the package, and for our part, we have no interest in a LhD. If Pat Verbeek puts Zegras on the market, we'd probably take something similar to the ask for fifth overall: the pick plus a right-handed forward prospect. Speaking of which, if we do get #9 in addition to Levshunov, we'd probably select Helenius or Brandsegg-Nygaard with that pick.

montreal's 2024 pick alone is worth more than zegras.

i was about to say why is stamkos signing in anaheim, but i guess 55 million dollars is the answer. still not sure if he wants to give up on winning, but at least you've made a strong case.

Sorry to say that while Zegras has interest and potential, right now is value is down, not up. MTL could give up two first round picks, but that would most likely be 2024’s WIN & 2025’s CGY. Not the 5th overall n 2024.

As far as Harris is concerned, well someone said ANA would not be interested in a LHD, but basically you could end up giving something like Barron who’s a RHD or Ylönen and Roy, add Armia if they want a solid 2nd/3rd winger too without taking a long term risk.

And no clue why Utah would want to move their 1st for more 2nd and 3rd… They already have tons of those. And the new owner isn’t the previous idiot, he’s going to want to better the team not get them into a worse situation.
