I'm all for getting rid of Ras but not sure this gets it done for Ottawa. Definitely not far off though.

What's with the recent obsession with Joshua? And then playing him on the 1st line....?

Rumors that the wings are hot after him. I think he's fine, but I'm not crazy about the signing. But if they do, I imagine they would put him as the third guy on Larkin and Rays line to add some grit.

I really hope not. The guy's a fourth liner, at best.

He is better than that, but I agree that he wouldn't be someone I'd be after in free agency. Smells like an Yzerman signing though. From Michigan, hard to play against, low ceiling.

As someone who has signed Joshua on a lot of ACGMs, I can see the appeal. Potential 20 goal guy with grit who should cost less than Fabbri. I’d say 3rd liner but would likely slot onto Detroit’s 2nd line unless Kasper or Danielson make the jump.

I agree with all of this. I slot him on to the 1st with Larkin and Ray more as a complimentary piece. I think it fits better than moving Debrincat up and having Joshua/Compher/Kane as a 2nd line. Not enough skill there. Basically having him take over Bertuzzi's old role on that line.

If you wanna make sure your team never really contends for a Cup, you sign Joshua to be on your 2nd line.

I think him being a 2nd line player on this team is more short term than long term. He does have value as a 3rd line player, which is where I think he would slot in the 2nd half of the contract once Kasper, Danielson, Mazur are ready to move up. Team just isn't quite there yet.

rofl OTT is not trading chych to a divisional rival for a bottom pair LD, and a 3rd liner

1. By getting Rasmussen, we can say we got a Top 12 pick back for Chychrun.

2. I like what both Rasmussen and Walman have done in Detroit so far.

rofl Boucher is a 10th OA dont man teams will say we traded for a former 10th OA for our top4dman or top 6 player....OTT aint trading another top 6/top4 player to DET without overpay, they are not handcuffed this time and dorion is gone, tho staios could be just as bad.

what? Chychrun's shot is one of the best. You realize I'm saying Walman is better than Chychrun?

Walman has a better, harder shot than Chych, and I don't know that Walman is better than Chych, overall.
