Why would CBJ do this? They’re giving up the better pick and the MUCH better player……even with retention, that’s a terrible deal for the jackets

The pick swap is silly, so it’s Laine for Josh and the CBJ don’t want Josh, no matter what Laine wants them to do.

Habs walk out of this with Laine in exchange for a cap dump and moving up in the draft.... did you forget something in this trade or did you get too many concussions in your lifetime?
