I agree this is pointless for NSH, but I think Reinhardt gets 10+ and lindholm already turned down a 7x7 so I think they both are gonna end up getting 19+ combined. Mitch will only get 12 maybe 12.5

If the taxes situation in Nashville is much lower than Toronto that is a variable that changes his contract. Giving him 8yrs and a NMC contract in a less tax destination could be huge for a team trading for him.

If you would be able to watch him for a full season you might change your opinion. He is the only leaf on the #1 unit in any situation. He gets in the high 90's in points and if not hurt this season he would have had 3 straight 30goal+ seasons. He is also the best 2-way winger in the league. If he went to a state with little or no taxes he would get less because in the end it would still be more than what he gets with the leafs. They recently changes the tax rule on the bonus in a contract and Tavares is fighting that in court at this time.

I have watched quite a lot of leaf games with having Matthews on my fantasy team and I’m not saying marner is bad. I get he’s a top 10 winger in the league and he should get paid like it. But if he’s wanting north of 12 than that makes him the top paid winger which he is not. I get the when the contract is signed aspect of it but no way should he get paid more than Pastrnak. If he took 10.5 for 8 years yes I would be happy to trade for him but he’s looking for a raise not a deduction in pay

0% correct at all. Kampf is an overpaid loser and Robertson has value to a 7th round pick. You can pay for wings to take kampf not other way around, don't like it, keep the guys who can't help you win when it matters, wings aren't helping you
