As much as Anaheim fans want to overrate zegras, he is not nearly as good as debrincat was when he was traded. Sure he’s got 2 60 point seasons. Debrincat had multiple 40 goal seasons and 80 point seasons.

10th overall+1st+Holtz would be an absolutely absurd price to pay for a player of zegras caliber. His contract at nearly 6 mill also isn’t nearly as much of a bargain as you’d hope/expect on a bridge deal

Both would accept Ana knows Zegras is overrated and they would try to cash in on it while they can. Then NJ finally gets a goalie and a semi-star for Jake Hughes on the second line.
