I actually dont think thats terrible value(i mean its a good starting point). they would have to add probably a 2/3rd but I dont think ur going to get a great deal for him back. hes always been a 30-40 point 3rd liner who can sometimes on a pinch play second line wing.

we are also looking over the lily 3x3 deal and domi getting a massive underpay tears of joy

Blues decline

Like seriously cmon what are we doing here? Buch and Marner are already similar in value but all the rest of that is insane

He plays second line here just fine, and if that's the best we can get, we'll just extend him, no skin off our back. He genuinely wants to stay in Anaheim and he plays his best hockey here, we could give him a 5x3 and it would be no sweat off our brow.

then by all means u should do that. just dont see any team spending more then a 2nd for a 1 year rental who will easily test FA whos a career 3rd line 30-40 point player. only way u get a 1st + is if theres a good cheap under 3M extension which he will easily be looking for 4m+

We wouldn't pick Nick Robertson up off waivers. He's not a Verbeek kind of player. Nor, judging from the frequency with which he appears in Toronto ACGMs created by Maple Leaf fans, is he yours.

Ducks pass. Robo worth maybe a 4th to us. We can likely package Vatrano at the deadline for a 1st with retention

It’s terrible value — we wouldn’t ever think about it

We didn’t even want Micro Robo for free

i mean thats fine if u dont like the player but if ur going to move vatra ur not getting much more then a 2nd + young player(like Robertson) or maybe a 1st if u eat half his cap. hes been a 30-40 point 3rd liner who entire career and nobody is gonna pay for 1 60 point season on an awful team. if u dont like that price hes either going to walk or u resign him.

He’ll either repeat the success this upcoming year or he won’t. If so, we can easily fetch a first with retention. If not, so be it. He’s a leader on and off the ice for our young kids until the trade deadline and we’ll take a 2nd instead. Both are preferred to Robo and a 7th. Especially considering we’d get him for 60 games first

Do you even take the two minutes to look at other Marner to the Blues trades? One quick glance will show that this trade is hilariously bad.

We don't touch this with a 69 foot pole
