Rather have Kasper than Necas and use the 7.5 to sign Kane/Marchessault for less AAV.

Kasper will never be a good player in the NHL. trade him before others notice it.

I agree, I think Kasper most likely is a good defensive 3rd line center that maybe gets you 40pts, can hit and play in all defensive situations (good playoff guy). But the wings need some high skilled offensive guys, like a necas imo. Necas I think on a 1st line situation is a ppg player.

Considering how many rumored suitors there are for Necas and the 2 seasons of team control remaining, I bet their asking price is massive, like Sandin-Pellikka high. That probably will go down some, of course.

At 19 years old he was phenomenal in the AHL and was dominate in the playoffs. I don't know what part of his game you think is weak, but holy **** does he project to be an absolute monster in the NHL. He won't be your favorite center in the league, he will be the guy your favorite center will absolutely hates playing against. Kid is a winner, dominate forechecker, elite two way player, wins board battles, extremely high hockey IQ, plays in every situation, absolute rat, and is a systematic scorer who is likely to average .5 ppg for his entire career.

Come on, he wasn't dominant in the Ahl and certainly not phenomenal. he's not a scorer and his offensive instincts are limited. Maybe he'll become a player like Andrew Copp
