You are about 100% too low on the Jake McCabe contract. He is a 5-6, guy easily. Closer to 6 than 5. Maybe even 7.

Agree with the above on McCabe. With what guys like Montour and Pesce are going to command this summer, he will be upwards of 6MM/year. Also the cap will be more like 92-93mm for 25/26

7M for 31yo McCabe who is a decent middle pair defensemen. What warrants a 3 million dollar raise from his last contract in his prime?

His play in Toronto as a 22-23min a night shut down D man who plays in all situations and against the other teams top players every night.
Think about it like this, if you are McCabe, how do you feel making under 4m while Rielly is making 7.5. You are doing all the PK work. You are playing against the other teams top line. He is being sheltered and and getting the PP time.....
I would McCabe and Pesce on about the same level.
Roy - 81 games 5G 20A +21 TOI 20:53 Age 29 152Hits
McCabe - 73GP 8G 20A +20 TOI 20:39 Age 30 219Hits
You gave Roy 6.25 x 5 in the above example....

Reasoning behind Roy getting more is because he is the top 4 RHD that the leafs need badly. There is a huge demand of RHD’s this year and in order to attract one of the top ones in the UFA class, you will have to overpay slightly, especially to get them to come to TOR. Do I think he’s worth 6.25x5? No, not necessarily. But I do think that’s what it will take to get him to play for the leafs. It’s also easier to make deals with players who know the coaching staff and management like Mccabe does. Keep in mind to that McCabe isn’t due until next year so he will be 31 at the time of this new contract so it will take him to age 34, like Roy getting 5 years at age 29. This is when they start to fall off (Brodie). Also, can’t really base contracts off of Reillys contract because everyone knows that’s a Dubas overpay. It’s like basing all forward contracts off of a Jack Hughes contract (8M).

OK. Well I cant do much for you.
The stats speak for themselves. You are simply using excuses at this point. Wait and see for yourself.
0 chance McCabe is playing anywhere in the league for less than 5m per on his next contract. As I said, the leafs might have to go closer to 6 than 5. You will just have to wait. Remember me when you find out I was right.

For someone so “knowledgeable”, I’m surprised you don’t know the difference between “you’re” and “your.” What a dweeb😂

I know the difference. Just grown up enough to not worry about it. Clearly it worked. Because you understood enough to try and correct it. So I guess I was right again. Surprise surprise.
....You are using the term dweep....
I don't think that statement requires any more explanation than that. lol
Anyways, Im still right and you are still wrong. So good luck trying distract the next person who comes along and embarrasses you by going off topic with personal attacks. Hope you do a better job than you did with me.

So you misspelled you’re on purpose? If you’re so grown up get off cap friendly hahaha. Grown men should have other things to worry about than chirping people on a website

Grown ups dont use the internet? lol Exactly how young are you? Let me tell you. They actually do. Websites and everything believe it or not. Im actually at work right now. Its nice to be so well off you can work and also occupy your mind doing something else at the same time.
No i didnt misspell on purpose. I just dont go back and read again. Because its not important and I figure anyone with reasonable intelligence will be able to figure it out. Whether there are mistakes in grammar or spelling or whatever. Gave you too much credit I guess? Anyways, again, Im still right. Remember when the contract comes and you realize you were so wrong its embarrassing.
Keep trying to avoid the actual subject though. Typical.
