Value isn't there for CGY. Minten is obviously valuable and the late 1st doesn't hurt but Robertson hasn't shown anything and Liljegren has been inconsistent at best. If you want Markstrom retained at 3M then Minten and the 1st will get it done. If you're looking for Andersson as well then that's a whole other conversation and will likely involve assets that the Leafs just don't have.

The Devils, along with everyone in the league, know the Leafs are more desperate to move guys like Jarnkrok, Kampf, and Reaves more than anyone needs them. I can understand Kampf more than Jarnkrok for the Devils 4C, but those guys aren't worth their contracts to the other teams. It's not just enough that they scored more points than many UFAs, but if they cost 20% more, that's money that could be used elsewhere that can be more effective.
