I'm trying to be simple and realistic, with as little roster disruption as possible. (Or, you can treat this as a baseline.) But given Toronto's record of playoff futility over the past half decade, maybe running it back with only three roster upgrades isn't a good strategic plan. Oh, well, here goes.

I'd prefer to sign UFAs Anthony DuClair or Warren Foegele for $3 million instead of Yakov Trenin and send Reaves down to the Marlies, but I doubt that either would take that sum. Maybe Jordan Martinook or Dakota Joshua?

I think that these line combinations would set the two young LWs up for true breakout years.

I don't know how attached Dylan DeMelo still is to London, but he might want to finish his career in Toronto and that may be a small selling point.
