You aren’t pairing Lysell and Poitras together. Most likely you’d either swap Coyle and Poitras.

That Ullmark deal is the one I think gets done. Either that or a trade down from NJD to 16 through 20 where they give the first rounder to Boston.

Curious to see if they resign JDB and I believe that Lindholm is likely making closer to 8 than 7

Probably agree on Lysell Poitras, whoever shines in camp probably gets a look with Marchand and whoever else is there. Or Lysell doesn't make it and Geekie or Heinen slide back up. I really don't love Lindholm at 8, but agree it is probably what they actually do. There's about .5 million there plus you can just not sign Maroon to cover that cap space. I want Jake back after his playoff performance, I think he either gets a deal like that in Boston or a 6.5 in a less attractive market. If he walks you could replace that with say a Toffoli for around the same dollar value, or maybe Arvidsson or Kane for less. What are your thoughts on a Kane signing if DeBrusk walks with over 35 incentives built into the contract? He's obviously one dimensional but this team struggles to score and he can still put up points. I wouldn't mind a 3.5 deal with 1 million in bonus for say 35+ points.

This is basically running it back with same crappy offense. No to Debrusk, No to Maroon(to slow).
I would like to get a top six player instead of picks.

Kane or Marchessault on a shorter term contract might make some sense. I prefer DeBrusk, but I wonder if Boston comes back with a viable offer after the Ullmark deal … Will he sign it?

I agree--I would rather do something different than this. This is my projection of what management will actually do, which is almost certainly off. It's a projection rather than an ideal. Although I hope we resign Debrusk
