I think next year they try to move mika or panarin, maybe both. I think management wants to give the team one more chance before breaking up the core.

So theyre gonna trade guys with fully locked NMC? You do know how those work right?

Yes, and I think one of the two would be open to the move if that is what is presented to them at that time. If Mika has another year like he did this year, it stands within reason that he could be bought out too

What is your opinion on skinner? If he's bought out, would he be worth the pickup?

A #1RW with a cap hit of only $4.75 million that you're going to play with Panarin and Zibanejad who's averaged 0.88 PPG over the last three seasons with Buffalo is worth a lot more than a #3C with a dubious injury history and four second-level prospects. Buffalo wouldn't trade Alex Tuch without both a first-round draft pick and Gabe Perreault in the deal, and that's just for starters.

That would be a critical mistake. Theyre not buying out Mika with 6 years left on his contract. The amount of teams, even with the increased cap, that can afford Panarin's 11m AAV are slim, and most of them are not playoff teams.

For the rangers? No I don’t think skinner would help them if he’s bought out. He’s lost a step. The rangers need more play drivers. They are in a tough spot I don’t know how they are going to find a top 6 winger to play with Kreider and Zibenjad.

First, panarin doesn't play with Zibanejad other than the pp, Chytil was the #2 center before the injury, and sykora is considered one of the top 3 prospects in the system. Perreault and Othmann are untouchable simply because of how close to the nhl level they are. Robertson is a former 2nd round pick, plus a second, plus - I don't even mind making the 2027 pick a 2026/2027 first (no conditions). This is also just for 2 years of Tuch.

Then why do YOU have him there? I'm just going on what you posted.

Chytil was the #2 center before the injury

But he wasn't the #2 center in the playoffs and he isn't the #2 center now after the injury

He does one thing, he scores goals at 5v5. He adds nothing else, like nothing else. You'd be gambling on his scoring not falling off a cliff, but hes on the wrong side of 30. Considering the Rangers timeline, stay far away. Unless you wanna give us Schneider, then I'd point to his scoring 82 points, just one year ago.

My bad, the site always has panarin with mika, it should be kreider and panarin swapped. As for chytil, in the playoffs he was playing 1st line rw
