Description
99% sure no big contract will be moved. Marner and Tavares won't waive. This is an in-between year to get chemistry and build culture.

Liljegren comes cheap after arbitration on a 1 year prove it deal.

Klingberg is allowed by the CBA to sign for league min with a signing bonus up to 3.6 MIL. Toronto offers him 2.5 MIL in signing bonus.
Dubas gets his boy Jarnkrok which needs another PK guy and all-rounder. Leafs get draft capital. Dubas most likely moves jarnkrok to keefe if he really wants him.
Nashville gets 1 NHL ready RD for cheap, A star goalie in the making behind Askarov and Matinnen who was DEL Player of the Year who could be a big surprise if given playing time. All picks help them load up their rebuild to find a diamond in the rough.

ALL UFA & RFA RHD can all battle for PP1 spot since Treliving wants an RHD, this will create a nice battle for Top 4 slot and gives them options for 2 PP units.

Since it's a year where they are building for the next one, Robertson gets one more year to establish himself, Liljegren to show he is worth keeping. As well for Blais who is been downwards since Berube left. Lambert gets his #1 fav defensive player for a year, maybe two if he can keep it up and will be very important for his PK set-up in key moments.

If it’s a rental it works out for both teams, toronto didn’t loose everything. Nashville still ended up on top in this trade. If saros resigns for 4+ years toronto perhaps wins if the cap is ‘friendly’

It is basically saros for 3- 5th round picks and a 3rd. No way Nashville is on top of this trade. The prospects/players are all non factors or waiver wire fodder.

lol this does nothing for Nashville. Keep your low draft picks and b rated prospects. If you want one of the better goalies in the league it’s gonna cost you.
