I don't see Minnesota being interested in picks 2 years from now for Middleton. It's far more likely they just extend him this summer when they can do that.

we've got some problems. first off, lohrei isn't a RD and the bruins don't like just forcing a guy to his off side
Heinen is way better than Duhaime
you don't have a full roster.

Those are indeed SOME of the problems.
This team will age into oblivion over the course of the next 5 years due to having zero draft picks.
You've effectively acquire Pavel Buchnevich (a great player, good cap hit, but deserves a decent raise next year) for: Linus Ullmark, Fabian Lysell, Brett Harrison, a 3rd Rounder and a 4th Rounder. A massive package for a guy who isn't really a game changer.

min and nash deals are "deadline deals" im hoping someone with be on ltir thats worth a few mill at the dealine that's the only way this stuff could work . u know like the old put someone on ltir and take them off for the playoffs trick .. that's why peeke is on ltir it seems to be the trend this year it was forbert last year it was hall . im confident with this team they could make the playoffs so i dont see the rd thing as much of a issue as in my eyes its for like 20 games and it could easily be someone else on ltir i never retained salary on middleton either

id rather win a cup now and have a harsh rebuild in 3 years than to stay in limbo and have no chance at anything good

i thought about it but i was like why not he could just be replaced with any other cheap backup if people complain lol bussi can also play but i think will grab someone with some nhl experience to atleast be a third goalie or the backup if bussi fails

wait, what? you're assuming someone gets hurt to the point where they go on LTIR? why is peeke on LTIR? he's not hurt. What retention for Middleton? you didn't have any.

none of this makes any sense. the roster just doesn't work.

you can not think the RD thing is an issue all you want....you're just wrong. the bruins see it as a big issue. there are a few very specific players they have trusted to play their off side. there's a 0.0% chance Lohrei is one of them. your roster just doesn't work.

thats fair but its also a aging team those picks could even be a top 16 pick rather than a bottom 16 i would do it if i was rebuilding or retooling as the wild montreal used to do it in the 70s thats how they got LaFleur id much rather have bostons 1st in 2026 than 2025 or 2024 i think its going be a downward slope even if we add alot to the team guys are aging marchand isnt getting any better both lindholms have been declining to

relax dude, no one said you were dumb, let alone "dumb as ****" you just said something random to no one in particular that didn't make sense so i asked.

but ya while we're on the topic, it is stupid to just assume someone might get hurt and go on LTIR.

its not stupid when it happens almost every year ltir using it instead of moving geekie was not stupid its not like i couldnt just dump geekie and the cap works i didnt even retain salary on middleton

calling me stupid but your brain is to small to come up with the fact u can just move geekie and the cap works regardless of ltir it happens almost every year so it is not that wrong to assume someone will be on it get over it 2 mill was the issue but your so bad at math u couldnt comprehend it

1. i never called you stupid. why are you getting so defensive? you just invented the concept that someone called you stupid. no one did. relax.
2. use punctuation. your posts are very hard to read.
3. why would you move geekie? he's one of the teams better value players. Had an awesome season, and is very affordable.
4. even if you move Geekie you're $400K over the cap, and need to add two players to the roster.

I'm sorry man, your team just doesn't work.

1. i don't think you understand how LTIR works. It isn't just free cap space, and you can't just make up an injury. the league monitors the status of the players, and it gives you room to replace cap. it's not just free space.
2. geekie is awesome. why would he ever be the one to move?
3. even if you dump geekie, the cap isn't close to working
4. then why didn't you put retention on middleton? are we just supposed to guess your intent. Even if you did that, the cap still wouldn't work.

again, it just doesn't work. a good way to go would be to remove the Skjei signing, and look for a more cost effective player to be a 3LD. I would also recommend ditching the Middleton deal. it just isn't needed.

For whatever it's worth, I'd 100% jump on that offer for the reasons you've outlined. I mean, eventually Boston has to regress right? Right?!

I just doubt Guerin would unfortunately.
