Good point, 7 straight missed playoffs; coming off 7th place finish in division. Your only star (allegedly) wants out; arguably the worst nhl organization over past decade with one of the worst prospect pools in the league. You play away games at home when the Leafs visit…I could go on but 🤷🏻.
I love Ottawa - great city & a hockey hotbed, but I’m fairly confident in saying not a destination of choice.
IMO - 0% chance Marner waives for Ottawa & 0% chance Leafs trade in division. 0*0 is not great odds

I think you've overpaid Liljegren by a million and a bit, but this is certainly an intriguing idea. I would personally prefer Chabot over Chychrun in the Leafs deal.

I could see Marner being interested in Ottawa to be close to home + smaller market. They're on the cusp and a shakeup could work.
