Trades
1.
TOR
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
The Blues need to start refurbishing their blueline and someone who can jumpstart their 24th ranked powerplay. Timmins, 25, can do both of those things.
STL
  1. Timmins, Conor
Additional Details:
With Rielly and Liljegren soaking up the PP time on the point and Niemela as well as Villeneuve knocking on the door, Timmins was going to get squeezed here. He needed to be moved on.
2.
TOR
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
With Jakob Silfverburg retiring the Ducks need a veteran PK type who can hold his own regardless where you play him to step in. That's Jarnkrok. He played on all four lines and all three forward slots as well as defense in a pinch for the Leafs and on both special teams. He is a literal positional and situational Gumby. And an ideal mentor for a young team. The Boston pick is 58th overall so it is nearly a 3rd. That's not too high a price to pay.
ANA
  1. Järnkrok, Calle
Additional Details:
Like Timmins, For Jarnkrok there is simply too many forwards and not enough slots for all of them. The Leafs are year by year turning over their forward group as they graduate prospects from the minors. And this season will be no different.

Somebody may give you more than a fourth for 33-year-old Calle Jarnkrok, but it won't be Anaheim.

We can find PKers in free agency for free, and during the remainder of Jarnkroks contract have no cap issues. On top of that, Verbeek wants to play Carlson and Gauthier on the PK (not together presumably) to provide a counterpunch.

We decline.

Jordan schmaltz said 4x4.75 would do the trick with over half as signing bonus.

I’ll stick with that number for Bertuzzi

STL isn’t trading a 3rd for someone who has played only 50 games the last two years. Timmins much like Perunovich, is a good young player who hasn’t proved himself too much and doesn’t have much value. I’d trade a 5th at most.

Goodness that d-corps is rough but this is one of the more realistic scenarios I've seen on this website. Good job.
