you should know by now, no one on this site is mentally sane enough to give rational constructive feedback.

Anyways, Sanheim is locked up long-term at a decent cap hit, but I still think it might be slightly too much for him. Regardless, I think that package does get you Sanheim.

That is a huge overpay on Sanheim
Well yes, Sanheim is very good, Krug is still ok and giving up a 1st and 2nd as well is a lot for a great, but not top defensemen

I think the ship sailed on Sanheim unless we get another late 1st somehow.

I think we’d be best off just keeping Krug on a 3rd pair as PPQB1 and trying to find a partner for Faulk that’s a little more defensive orientated to lighten the load on Leddy/Parayko.

In terms of Lindholm, I do think that’s an area of need. I’m just not sure he’d be willing to sign a 4 year deal like that.

Fair enough. We can only keep one of Krug/Perunovich and I'd rather have the younger and lower cost guy for the future. Don't want to see him turn into Dunn Part 2.

For Lindholm, goal is he takes the Paul Statstny contract. Unlikely but worth a shot.

This. Last year I would have given Sanheim to you and then this year he had a really strong year. Briere already wanted a 1st to move him last year and the Flyers don’t want Krug so it’s gonna cost to dump him on us and that 1st and 2nd will probably be what Briere would want in a Sanheim return if you take Krug out

I don’t want to do this. Keep picks. Can trade Krug easier after next year

Was wondering what had happened, saw the original then saw it changed. Assumed people were just being toxic as always

There was literally a trade last year of Krug and Sanheim that got vetoed by Krug. It was pretty heavily reported. And if I had to guess Laughton was in that deal as well given all of the swirling it was reported there was a Blues prospect involved as well

Yeah and a 1st round pick and it was after Sanheim had back to back bad years before having a career year this year

This is a trade that I would have been all about last year, but Sanheim had a really nice year this past year and his contract is actually looking decent now especially with the rising cap. Not saying the trade doesn’t have the value but I think it would take a 2nd late first to convince me to move on from sanny at this point.

Even more reason not to buy.

Oh I totally agree it’s not worth it for St Louis I’m just saying even if Krug were to suddenly waive, there’s no way Briere accepts this deal
