Makes no sense unless you're also moving Zibanejad (which you cant) because the only point in moving Trouba is cap space

No from the Kings. While I'd like to get Kostin, he is overpaid for the 14 points he brings on the 4th line. Blackwood is not an upgrade on what LA ran with last year, so not want to move anything for him. While Kaliyev is gonna get moved, I see it in a package for an upgrade or a decent pick at this year's draft rather than a lower tier move. Lafreniere isn't getting moved at all and Chromiak is probably never gonna make the NHL. He has scoring talent but nothing else to his game

I'm purely assuming Trouba won't move in a trade that makes sense for NYR and just a buyout works here, if they can dump they do that first.

Same here, I would retain $4M if it mean't a decent asset. Better than taking a $4M hit for a buyout.
