yea I didn't want to do that, I figured San Jose may take that deal with viro added (just edited and updated it) since their cupboards seem dry - no idea though

The Blue Jackets accept. I'd say you could probably get a little bit more retention on Merzlikins and remove the pick and Columbus would still accept.

Johansson hasn't played an NHL game.

He wasn't making 920k in Grand Rapids.

That's would be would've been making if he were playing in the NHL.

He would've been making his AHL salary probably something around 80k.

How does he deserve 1.5 mil? 😆

He'll get league minimum.

You're not getting good players just because you want them.

You have to give to get.

You're not offering Calgary proper value for a top 2 RD in his prime who has 2 years left on his contract.

Most "rumors ' are BS.

Quantity doesn't equal quality.

yes since yzerman already had him making 920k per year if he was playing in the NHL, I doubt yzerman pays him less than 1 mil on a re-up contract to play in the NHL - either way we're splitting hairs over 500k in an armchair -

and so, what gets it done? I see a lot of talk about psychology but no tangibles - a first round pick (#15 yet not 31) - a still very usable d man in matta (also a former 1st round pick), a player who is one of only nine players that has ever been granted exceptional player status - also a former first round pick in veleno... and a guy who... 1 - led Detroits farm team in goals and points by a lot and got 15 goals in his first year NHL year in 67 games... isn't nothing

where there's smoke their fire. Im only entertaining options where ive seen smoke.
