I like the demotion of Tavaras to the third line. I think it makes us deeper down the middle and gives him some good match ups as his game declines. Also like the idea of pairing him with a young cowan - sometimes gives the vets a boost and works well to have that mentorship. Pesce I havent watched much but i wonder if we could find something similar cheaper i.e edmunson or lybushkin. Bit of a downgrade but from what i hear pesce is a defensive denfenman without much offensive upside. i liked how both those pickups played for the leafs in the playoffs.
