Dudes a Troll.

No Seider

No to all 3 trades that're laugh bad for Detroit.

Ghost, Kane and Perron aren't coming back, Brady Skjei will cost fat more than that.

This team is even worse and no interest.

No they don’t
He’s under contract for several more years at a Cap Hit of $5.1mil per

Maybe if they (or another team) hold a couple million ?

What's wrong with a bona fide two-way 3C who puts up 50 pts a year and has a Cup ring on his resume' at that price?

He's smack dab in his prime.

He’s just a bit pricy & most of our Cap Space is needed for upcoming contracts to :
Byram, Quinn, Peterka, Tuch & Benson

Again, maybe if they hold a couple million

I look at it this way. Compher is legit. Is $5M a little high? Maybe, but I'm not one to split hairs over a half million or so when this Sabres team can have their top three centers locked up for less than $20M.

I like Compher, solid player
But he’s not gonna put up points like that with us as our 3C being used heavily in the defensive zone
That means he’s overpaid by more than just a half mil

And we are at the point where we need to be carefully budgeting our Cap Space

So if they hold a couple mil, cool
Otherwise, I’m not interested & i don’t think the Sabres will be at that Cap hit either

Also, he’ll likely cost more to get than two 4ths

Fair enough. I like him and don't think the AAV is that far out of line for what he brings, and what he brings in exactly what the Sabres need.

Again, i like the player- But it’s not that simple
Cap space is gonna start to come into play for us
It’s not even about what he’s worth at this point, more so can we fit his Cap Hit moving forward
Do we want to devote $5mil in Cap space to the 3C slot ?

Of course it’s possible
But what do we lose to do that?

Is it Samuelsson?
Is it one of the prospects we like?
Obviously we all have our own biases, but the important factor is whether or not Adams sees a $5mil 3C as the right fit in building this team

Who would u prefer….
Compher at $5.1mil for 4 years ?
OR
Colton at $4.0mil for 3 years ?

I’d have to do a deep dive to choose, but right now I’m thinking the cheaper guy the better
Avs can’t hold any Cap hit, but maybe Detroit would be willing ?
Obviously idk though- just my guess

The Sabres need to define what 3C will be. The definition should be a center who plays a defensive game and can contribute with tertiary scoring. If the 3C is filled by a 2CA, then the 4C will have to be a 3CA.

I wonder what balance Kevyn Adams can find for retaining pending restricted free agents between bridge contracts and decent term. Use cap space the right way.

Colton has always been a top trade choice. However, I think the Nichushkin situation probably threw a wrench into a trade with COL.

I think Cap hit will play a big role in that process
