LOL at the idea Kampf is worth a 2nd. The 5th as a kicker is nothing.

Kampf is a negative value asset no team is trading a 3rd for him. We'd have to add a 1st as a sweetener for anyone to even consider it

Zadorov is going to be overpaid in the high 6s or even creep into the low 7s on a multi year deal after the impact he had in the playoffs. (Montour will be another one that ends up in the same category as Z).

Debrusk will probably also fetch more than 5.5 but not by much on a multi year deal.

I like the make up of this roster and it would be ideal. Really shakes things up and has a Treliving feel to it.

A legitimate #1 is required to compete after the 1st round so Saros is a good option. If a solidified #1 is brought in, Woll will want out. Bring in Stolarz as the back up in that case.

Would rather spend the 3M to upgrade the D corpse further rather than use it to employ Drouin.

Not sure Knies on the 4th line playing 7-8 minutes a night is great for his development… …

Kampf wouldn’t require a 1st as a sweetener, why add a first when you could just give him away for a 5th if you want to dump the salary. A team that wants to reach the cap floor will take him without a doubt.

You know absolutely zero about hockey if you think Kampf isn’t worth a 3rd. You gotta be out of your mind if you think we need to give a team a 1st to take him on.

If you look around the league, most of the good teams have a third line centre making around what Kampf makes. I can’t believe you think we need to give a team a 1sr to take him😂😂

Zadorov has expressed interest to play in Toronto. Hoping that he’d take a bit of a pay cut and signing bonuses as long as we give him term. He’ll also have a bigger role on the team.

Debrusk was making 4 last season, he didn’t do anything significant in the regular season to ask for such a steep pay upgrade. Had a decent playoffs though. Other teams may be willing to pay more but I think Debrusk will want to go to a contending team. If debrusk doesn’t work out hopefully we can convince Bert to take 5.5 with some term.

As far as woll goes, he’s very injury prone. I see where you’re coming from but teams aren’t going to want to sign him if he can’t stay healthy. If he is healthy this season I’d do a 60-40 split for Saros. If woll can handle that and stay healthy I’d consider either letting saros walk at the end of next year as a free agent and resigning woll to a nice deal and using some of saros money to get a solid back up.

Knies still needs to prove himself a bit more for me. Drouin and knies could also interchange depending on play.

Sorry meant to say Jarnkrok. They are equally worth far less.

If they "could just give him away for a 5th" then they would. But no team will give away a 5th for his awful contract

Well for starters I don’t think they have explored moving him, because as someone already mentioned above, despite his fall in production from the year prior, he is on par with other comparable contracts.

Absolutely no reason to have to give up a 1st to dump his contract, doesn’t make any sense at all. By your calculations, they should have given up two 1st round picks to get out of the Marleau contract 😂.

a) The 1st they gave up was #13, much more valuable than the #23 they have this year (or the presumably later one in 2026)
b) Marleau had only 2yrs left (and wasn't as bad for his cap hit than Kampf is)
c) Buying out Marleau, which is what Carolina did, was viable, whereas a team isn't going to buyout Kampf if they trade for him. it wouldn't make sense

So no, by my logic the Leafs wouldn't of had to give up 2 firsts to dump marleau

Jarkrok is another solid third line player that is also very good defensively. About 4 years ago he played against Crosby in the playoffs and did a good job shutting him down. 3rd round picks are nothing dude. They won’t even play in the NHL 90 percent of them. He can and absolutely would get a 3rd. Without a doubt

His contact isn’t awful😂😂 good look at his stats and how much other teams pay 3rd line centre. He could and absolutely would get a 3rd rounder. Not even a question. Most 3rd rounders don’t even play in the nhl

Cap dump? I guess you guys wouldn’t want a solid 3rd line centre that wins tons of faceoffs, penalty kills and makes essentially the same as most decent teams 3c. If Vancouver doesn’t do it than another team will lol. You guys have too many problems of your own. Like paying Peterson 11 mill

Keep him then. The Canucks can just re-sign Blueger who’s better and was a great fit this season for the same amount or less money than Kampf gets

Blugger is no where near as good defensively. Like I’ve said before, if the canucks don’t want to give up a 3rd another team gladly will.

Blueger had a better GA/60 and a significantly better xGA/60 this season at 5v5

Blueger also had a better GA/60 and a better xGA/60 this season on the PK

So Blueger was better defensively and quite a bit better offensively than Kampf this season
