While i agree value is off despite getting a top 5 pick you wouldnt in any deal involving Necas
I do feel i should point out Farrell finished top 10 with Lane Hutson in Hobey Baker Nominations.
Its not like being nominated means as much as winning but if it did the space between them isnt as much as you'd suggest.

That said i dont like this trade for either team
IF Necas comes to MTL it'll be via a 3 way trade so CAR can get what it needs

Since being demoted to the AHL where he thrived he has rebounded quite nicely
He's the only Penalty Killer in MTL with positive Metrics despite the struggles team wide he thrived.
TBH i wouldnt be surprised if he got picked up at the TDL

That said he has no business in a Necas deal with CAR IMO
