Not even sure what the return would be, but once he exits the player assistance program, I imagine the Avs move on. Any team with cap space can have him.

I love how you added the 4th going back to Colorado, as if you didn't rip them off enough already

You can add whatever picks and prospects that you want to that, the point is that Georgiev is out and Saros is in.

Personally id love a clean Nichushkin on the flyers but not sure if it makes sense with all the young Russian players coming in, I can see that being an issue if he relapses and is hanging out with them a lot.

Let’s just assume all Russians are drug addicts and alcoholics lol…

    Seems wrong to do that.

not what I was implying, I am just not sure they want him around young NHLers when he had issues now a few years in a row. Tremendous player, but not sure he can be traded right now.

No chance any team takes Nuke on without significant sweeteners including retention.

What's NSH's motivation to gift Saros to a divisional rival, for less than a very late 1st?

No one is taking Nichushkin. If he relapses again it could mean he's out of the league for good. Plus as long as he's in the program he doesn't count against the cap.

He's suspended without pay but isn't he still in the program? I thought the suspension takes hockey completely out of the picture for 6 months so the player can focus on recovery. I could be wrong and if I'm wrong that seems counter productive. How does cutting him loose from the program for 6 months help his recovery?

He’ll be out of the program in November when the season starts making him eligible to be traded…? Not sure where you’re confused on that. He has to be in it for the next 6 months or have his contract terminated.

My bad you are correct. He's only going to miss the first month of the season.
