      Marner has no reason to waive to Utah. Poor trade for Utah to give up so much for one year of Marner

      I find it funny that many Leafs fans cry about depth, grit, and playoff experience while also wanting to trade the only guy on the roster to make a Stanley Cup Final. Sure, he's overpaid but he's the exact kind of depth this team needs.

      Yeah. It seems a lot of people want surplus value in the form of offensive production from every player, while ignoring all the other important things they do. But, if guys like McMann, Dewar, Gregor, and Holmberg, or whoever else they may sign or is already in their system, are ready and can do some of that stuff at half the price, it could make it worth while to use that cap space on other things.
