Description

The way he's been playing at the worlds is so refreshing, I know Canada is a good team and players will naturally get more points in tournaments with the lower tier teams but with him playing against mainly 2nd 3rd line matchups its nice to see how he can activate into the offensive zone

I also think he needs to stay on the Left to reach full potential.

Capitalize on Matheson value and Keep Savard as the Vet to show the young kids the ropes.

Harris and or Struble both need to be moved or Struble will play in Laval IMO

Understanding the Free Agent Signings

Toffoli: The team needs to make a up hill turn and adding Toffoli won't hinder the window for them cause they will be expected to be similar to detroit this year. 2 years lets them put a time line on it for when they'll need to resign Dach and others so money will be freed up

Demelo: Losing Matheson will hurt but I think if Hutson makes the team out of camp they need to get someone to pair with Guhle. All in all they will need to sign a RHD if Matheson Harris are all gone cause Savard/Barron/Kovacevic are not good enough to help Guhle. (Savard needs to be with Hutson IMO)

You could drop the 2nds and its still lopsided in PHI's favour... Not that they need to dump salary but for us to take dead cap and send out a top 4 LD? Bad trade for MTL.

I don't think its a bad deal, for 12th overall you'll have to take a hit. Just like losing Romanov to get 13th hurt it got dach. It shows the difference between players

Assume they don't need us to take the cap the 2nds are then needed imo

Toffoli tells you to come back with a real offer. 25 mill overall throughout the contract is the likely starting point based on the Killorn deal

This indeed, value is in favour to Flyers but they ain't trading away futures to get ass wiped in the 1st round next season.

Huh? That's a pretty bad deal for Philly. Despite having a pretty good run for most of the year they are still obviously rebuilding and 12th OA has by far the most value in this trade and it's not even close. They also aren't desperate for cap space or LD that they would want to dump either Petersen or Johansen, or acquire Matheson

I doubt Montreal really goes out and gets anyone in FA but he was a fan favourite and he'd fit the team, but yes the problem is he will want term with atleast 4.5 likely
