Agreed. If we do collapse for the third year in a row, Kreider, Zibanejad and Trouba should all go and we should "tank" in 2025 or 26

Even at half retention I don't see the blues adding another multi year contract for a defensemen who is 30 and getting older. We already have Parayko and Faulk on the right side and kessel who looked good in his callup. Maybe if the blues trade Faulk but as of right now don't see the space for Trouba

But Faulk would have to be moved 100%

Except they have NTC/NMC which makes them highly untradeable, not to mention it would lower their price and not a lot of teams can take their cap hits

The Avs only consider that if for some reason Mitts absolutely refuses to sign in Colorado and assumes they find another guy to play 2C. Otherwise what does it do for a team in their own window who just traded a good young D to fill a major position of need and puts a huge hole back in their line up?
