Orlov is not an offensive D-man, neither is Slavin. Burns is getting old. I think the Hurricanes could use Chychrun.

He's a rookie and once Burns retires he'll be the only offensive D-man on the team.

I get that point but I don't see the Hurricanes trading one of our best prospects for a defenseman with only a year left on his contract

i think you can get Washingtons 2nd back and just get TVR for moving up 10+ spots in the 2nd round

SENS should 1000000% be looking to draft Nabokov. 21 years old was fantastic in the KHL. Lindgren short term solution. Nabokov franchise goalie

I love how people continue to ignore that Orlov is the internal Skjei replacement, and they have Nikishin that is waiting in the wings for next offseason. Chychrun is an unnecessary luxury, and it would be pointless to move a top prospect that would ultimately be more likely to have a bigger impact than Chychrun, as well as a 1st.

The only reason Chychrun got what he did in the trade to Ottawa was the term remaining on his deal. If the Canes were wanting him, they would have made the move then. Not to mention, if the Canes need offensive dmen, Morrow likely joins the Canes next season, Nikishin the season after, and depending on what happens with Burns, a offensive dman could be acquired via UFA or trade, as the next couple of years will have quite a few quality dmen available. Worst case scenario, TDA performed decently enough next to Slavin.

chychrun is great. I like to add him but he would be a luxury for us to have. cool to get but not a requirement. that price is we need him price. Since its just a nice to have, we would be interested in a lower price deal.
