Idk if anyone is happy with this but it’s for fun.

Wings get:
Cap space and a 5th

Leafs get:
Molendyk(who instantly becomes their best D prospect)
Maatta(who can slot into their lineup next year)
Tampa 2025 1st
Tampa 2024 2nd
8M in cap space

Preds get:
Marner(with extension in place)
Holl(whose buyout is only 1M if they wish)
Dallas 2024 4th (via Detroit)

Maybe the picks change some. Maybe Detroit gives Nashville a 3rd and Toronto a 5th or Fabbri with retention for secondary scoring, or Viro as a defensive prospect. Idk.

So Detroit's only addition to this three way trade is dumping Holl on Nashville and dumping Maatta on Toronto, costing them nothing else in the process? Yeah, that seems legit.

If NSH were to trade for Marner, it's not realistic to think they'd add him and a cap dump, without sending any salary out.

Take out Matta and add in Walman...

Shouldn't be a problem considering both can slot into Toronto lineup AND they each cost 3 mill

I get that...

The TO said that Matta should go to TO because he's someone "who can slot into their lineup next year" and save 8 mill in cap space... I was just pointing out that Walman can do the exact same thing...
