No team is going to retain 3 million for 6 years that's 18 million in dead cap

Didn't think there was an issue when you had STL retaining 3m over 6 years on their best defenseman? Or an additional 2m over 3 years on their starting goalie? That's 15m in dead cap over 3 years with an additional 9m in dead cap for 3 years following.

Even better you tossed in Buchnevich.

And the return is one year of JT, one year of Marner a presumably late 1st, Minten B-B+ prospect, and a bunch of junk you didn't want anymore?
