I think TOR would be better served keeping Marner and letting him leave in UFA than taking that package. There's not enough value for them in that.

Marner with an extension in place at $11M is worth more than this and Chicago is out because of that.

I don't think MTL will do a step back even for 2 2nd round picks. I think Hugues is more interested by selecting a player or trading the WIN pick with a player for something to help the team by either advancing in the draft or getting a forward to help the team.

Habs arent trading down unless something massive gets given back. Like next years Leafs 1st rounder and the Hawks 2nd for the WPG 1st
