Can’t see Nashville being interested in trading Novak and they definitely wouldn’t have to pay Chicago a 3rd round pick to take him.

Oh! I think they intended for that to be payment for retaining on Marner, but neglected to write it in the trade notes. CHI accepts. But, TOR is not retaining anything on Marner. It would essentially defeat the purpose of moving him.

Ohhh, I thought they were just looking to clear his cap space so they could afford Marner.

Yes, that is what meant, but clearly forgot to put into the notes. Also, I am ofc not expecting TOR to retain 5 mil, if anything at all, that is just a random number I put in.
