Would love Buch especially at that price, but the Sabres aren't going to add a winger.

I don't see the gain for the Blues. The Washington trade would be horrendus

Brandon Saad has never reached 0.75 PPG in a season. We'd rather re-sign 0.8 PPG Viktor Arvidsson and keep the draft picks.

We've only got 6 Ws under contract- Skinner, Tuch, Greenway, JJP, Benson, Quinn

And we played 15 different wingers this past year.

6 wingers plus Kulich and Rosen. That's all 8 wing spots accounted for? Not to mention Terry is going to bring back his favourite player Girgensons. We've even heard Adams say it, 3C is the priority.

So Lindy is going to be fine with another developmental year with 2 rookies forwards in the opening day line-up? Don't think so. Kulich and Rosen are call-up material.

We're adding a 3C and at least 2 Ws.

"That's all 8 wing spots accounted for?"

There's more than 8 spots. 15 played this past season...

I genuinely hope you're right, I just don't see it. Maybe Adams and co. will surprise.

Can’t see the blues keeping krug. I doubt the caps trade strome. That’s also not what the blues would look for in a buch deal.

never said 1-1

it is pretty clear that the organization's number one goal (correctly imo) is getting Ovi to the record. You're not doing that by trading away your best, prime-aged forward on a great contract that also happens to be the only person in the last ~4 years to get Ovi to above break-even at 5v5. Only guy on the Blues that would be better for that role is Thomas

yea there's no reason for the Caps to trade Strome for a RHD, I don't care what the picks are

The Blues aren't trading for Strome. And Thomas is worth worlds more than Strome. But I agree Washington wouldn't consider this trade. It's not suitable for either team.
