Pat Verbeek traded Rakell away because he didn’t want to give him that contract. Why exactly would he now track back for him?

This trade works out greatly both ways. ducks get a really solid looking prospects, high round picks and a good middle six winger on a mid contract but by the time the duck are a good team that contract will at most have 1 year on it.

Eller is the best player in that deal by a good bit. As a pens fan I wouldn’t trade Eller alone for Brodzinski and Rempe, much less add all the extra pieces. No chance rags decline that.

Rangers get one of the most reliable all around solid 3rd line centers in the league on a good deal, a cheap good 4th liner, a decent looking prospect and a couple of decent picks. they give up a solid 3rd-4th liner and a solid young gritty 4th liner. rempe will not become a big producer and will be more of a taller reaves for his whole career

Rempe & Brodz >>>> any of that stuff. Easy pass. Rempe is a fast scary beast and not going anywhere, but obviously not to the east

I agree but the pens need to get a bit younger in their top 9 and rempe is a good gritty young player so I think eller would need to be moved

how lmao. they only retain tavares for 1 year and get one of the best offensive defensemen in the league for 7,000,000. tavares is not working out anymore for the leafs and EK65 is not a good fit on the pens. both would benefit from a change of scenery.

I watch every team but the FACT is the Rangers have zero need for a 34 year old Eller and are not trading Rempe, a kid that lights up MSG every time he touches the ice, and especially not to a division rival. You can't accept that, then that is your problem.

Great we will. The pens have no use for someone who is overrated and overhyped because his only use is fighting in a league that is getting rid of fighting lol

No it’s not lol. Eller is a really good 3rd liner. Brodzinski is a 4th liner at best and Rempe is only good for fighting when the league is taking fighting out of the game. I get being a homer for your team but that’s extreme lol

He makes a serious impact already lol. Low ice time learning, 21, fast, defensive with some skill. Good luck playing against him. Rempire Trouba & company are dropping opponents on a gamely basis! Brodz is very solid and a cheaper, just as good option going Forward

Except Brodzinski isn’t just as good as Eller and Rempe’s only redeeming quality is fighting which is being eliminated from the game. But it’s all good, y’all can keep your 4th liner/depth players and we will keep our 3C, 4th liner, prospect, and picks.
