Stamkos helps the PP and provides additional scoring.

I don’t love giving up that much for Ekblad, but it greatly improves the right side and gives Josi a legit d-partner. Ekblad does bring health concerns and contract uncertainty however.

Agreed. I'd rather not pay that for Ekblad. Personally I'd rather go after Montour instead in free agency, who isn't as good as Ekblad, but can still be a strong 1RD.
