20 man roster don't work.
Easy no by Arizona
Leafs can find a good UFA goalie for 4m or less......and two years of Andersson isn't worth all that.

Keller is younger, cheaper, signed long term and put up his numbers with nobody. I wouldn't trade him 1 for 1 for Marner even if Marner had the same contract.

You're giving good players\prospects\picks in the trade but, I don't really see the Flames saying yes even if they didn't hate Treliving but, as a Flames fan I might be biased and want them to try and compete next year

Why? Utah definitely wants to bring in a superstar to build hype around their franchise. Calgary is in a rebuild/retool mode both contracts are short term. Schenn is an overpaid bottom 6th defenseman.

I think the flames trade is super fair, for a goalie thats expected to trade this offseason you'll be getting a huge assortment of ready nhlers, picks, and two of the leafs best prospects. Maybe the retained salary looks a little different, but it is only 2 years.

If...a big IF... Marners allows himself to be traded (and the teams he likes actually want him AND Tre can get fair market trade value...too many if's, Marner isn't getting trade. period.) I believe he would want to go to another big bright city, so California State teams, Florida State teams, New York state teams and maybe to reunite with Dubas in Pitts.

Utah, LOL.

Easy pass for Marner.

Maybe, maybe not. Calgary is not interested in moving Andersson right now, especially retaining on him when they can easily get top value for him without retention. Calgary won't waste 2 of their retention slots on players with term when they have 3 quality UFA's they will want to sell.

That joke of an offer wouldn't even get the Flames to start talking.
