I know pro athletes are some of the most competitive people on the planet and play on broken limbs all the time but I also feel if you say you won't play them they'll be fine making millions of dollars to hang out with friends and family. Also refusing to play a player till they waive is a terrible idea. If that happened to ANY OF US we would all try and screw over the GM and team as much as possible

I think because Toronto is so hostile with Marner already, if he didn't waive to give Toronto a good package back then he wouldnt really be wanted or welcome there. People speak their mind in public when you demand every penny of what your potential brings, and then completely fail to meet those expectations.
