Anaheim wouldn’t even give you a 7th for that package let alone a top 6 20 year old center a goalie who has said he won’t play for you and a 2nd laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Honestly a extremely delusional trade

Hawks decline. They aren't retaining on Jones for 6 years and can't imagine the Hawks want to take on that Nylander contract either. How about the Ottawa '24 3rd for Lilypad?

The only one of these trades that has a shot is the Utah deal, and even that is iffy for one year of Marner.

I am a hawks fan and I think the only way hawks fans on this site accept that deal is if you throw in Matthews at 50% retained. Nylander at essentially $13M a year for Jones is a very good deal for the hawks and there's no way the leafs make that deal.

Nylander is a point per game player. There are not many of those types of players.

If the Hawks didn't take that trade, Davidson should be fired.

Losing a retention slot for 6 years sucks, but that Jones contract will not age well, and getting a PPG winger and a replacement RD is well worth that minimal cost.

So Dallas gets a 4th line goon (Reaves), a young player that MIGHT be able to carve out a middle-6 role (Robertson), a defenseman that doesn't know how to play a lick of defense (Rielly), and an early 20s draft pick...and they give up a franchise caliber defenseman (Heiskanen), and a player that has already been a solid middle-6 forward for Dallas (Marchment)?

Why do you think Dallas should accept that deal? Does this deal make them better?

Like I said...throw in Matthews at 50% retained is the only fair deal according to all hawks GMs on this site. Hawks must overwhelmingly win the deal for them to accept.

Hawks aren't retaining for 6 years, Jones isn't waiving for Toronto, and as much as I like Nylander, him being 28 doesn't really mesh well with Chicago's timeline.

It’s Toronto. Everyone must over pay and other teams needs don’t matter. Duh 🙄
