Fire Keefe and rebuild the team in Brads vision

Created by: SomeonesOffended
Team: 2024-25 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 23, 2024
Published: May 5, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
First off let’s fire Keefe not even sure how he was extended this should have been a prove it year but good thing the leafs have all the money in the world it won’t hurt them to fire him

Now all the experts are saying 1 of the core 4 is gone if they don’t have a deep playoff run this year but I’m thinking why not trade 2 Marner and Nylander haven’t done enough for this team even though Marner is the leader on the team for playoff production Matthews has found another level and will be a stud next year, they obviously aren’t trading Matthews or their captain, plus Tavares isn’t leaving his home town for anyone plus we still need him, hard to say if he gets extended only time will tell, so they need to trade Nylander before his NMC kicks in and Salt Lake City said they wanted to spend to the cap ceiling well 15M at least on 2 players sounds like a good way to do that, plus they get a star, as for Marner with all the heat he’s been taking I doubt he puts up much of a fight to waive, if he does tell him he’s not getting extended, but anyways gotta completely rebuild this team with Brads vision, physicality and blocking shots are the only things he wants, I think this team could make a deep run or win the Stanley Cup

Give us this team please Brad, purge this team of any trace of Dubas

Why would you trade Nylander, he is the only one that consistently produces in the playoffs

Wrong he’s been their 3rd best playoff producer and below .8ppg in the playoffs isn’t worth 11.5M plus his nmc doesn’t kick in until July 1st he’s the easiest to trade

You do understand the ppg is not weighted he scores far more goals than any one else on team, goals being more valued in my model

Matthews has found another level Marner was better last year at best Willy is as good as Marner either way neither get it done in the playoffs send them both out if they can get Marner to waive and before Willy’s NMC kicks in plus this migraine thing has happened before and will happen again

He is if he can score over 30 goals and put up over 80pt seasons and is a playoff monster which he has proven to be look at an average goals to games in each series ratio, you see what I am talking about

I can't see Seattle moving Wright in this deal as it leaves them cash strapped to find another. McCann could move there but his production is way better at wing compared to center.

I like Gregor and reckon he'd fit well with the Avs. Not sure if his rights have that much value though.
