Yeah there’s no reason for the flyers to do that Pionk is a rental and even if he signs an extension he’s 29 why the hell would we want to sign him to an extension anyway? This team is supposed to be rebuilding and shedding big contracts not adding them.

@Wqrrior must be a big Jets fan! Pionk was worth negative surplus value this season and he's entering the last year of his contract. Why would the Flyers trade a dependable young role player (let alone a young player PLUS a 2nd rounder) for that archetype?
