As a Caps fan I was thinking about this. I think it could make sense for both teams. Kuemper would probably thrive behind a young defensively good team. Caps are taking more of the risk with that contract but could pay off.

He just needs to be on a good team he believes in, in a place he wants to be, surrounded by exactly the right teammates. Otherwise, how could you expect him to care about hockey? Poor boy's only spent time in terrible places in his whole hockey career.
