That's an awfully expensive blue line. I don't think the Penguins are looking to give up top picks for a guy like Chychrun. He's great, don't get me wrong, but if they were to trade away those draft choices at all, it'd be for a much larger fish.

If that first is unprotected I'd do that.

I wouldn't be comfortable giving up that much for one year of Chychrun - especially if he's brought in to play 3rd pair. DOC and Pettersson will be due for raises that offseason, and who knows what Crosby will sign for, so the odds of them being able to re-sign Chychrun are probably low.
