Why would the Leafs do this? Other than to change things up? Marner is younger & better than Seguin and has one year left vs three. Ridiculous

reactionary, like any marner trade, but of all of the dumb marner trades, i like this (base idea) the most. reality is that it isnt 1 for 1, stars add.

I like how everyone just convinces themselves that no one would ever make other trades to fit Marner. 100% they would if he was on any different team.

Like if Pasta was available, every team would do whatever it takes to get him. But Marner? No one wants him so the Leafs have to trade him for an aging cap dump. Logic eh?

Dallas doesn’t have anything to get Marner. Unless they’re willing to trade 1 of Oettinger, Heiskanen, Hintz, Johnston, or Robertson there is no deal.

There’s other teams that live in tax free states that could use Marner and offer better… Seattle screams a perfect fit for Mitch
