So Chicago helps Detroit free up cap space so they can go out and sign all of those players by eating 3 x $5.625m on Copp, their FA signing mistake from two summmers ago, all for the benefit of moving up 1/2 a round and two minor leaguers… I think the Hawks laugh and hang up.

Hawks aren't interested in any of those pieces.

Zegras recently signed a 3 x $7M bridge.

... If that gives you any indication as to how likely Raymond and Seider are to sign these. Both are better players thusfar, and that's not really a dig at Zegras.

No reason to dump Copp just to replace him with Domi. Domi would be even worse if he got deployed like Copp (%60+ starts in the D zone). For that price though he probably just stays with Toronto.
Doubt Nashville trades Saros.

Zegras signed 5.75M. not arguing against just stating facts.

Son of a ****, who signed 3 x $7M? I could swear somebody did in the last year or so.

Pettersson was 3 x 7.375. That one of done this year. Boldy signed for 7M but long term. Terry signed 7M but long term. I can't think of any others.

Fabbri is not of interest to the Jackets (we already have more than enough secondary scoring wingers), so he hardly qualifies as incentive to take on Maatta's contract.

And the Preds are not going to be willing to take on Husso in a Saros deal unless you pay dearly.

NSH passes. NSH doesn't need Husso due to having Askarov, so Husso and 14th OA isn't getting you Saros. You will need to add a different prospect/player (preferable a center like Casper or Danielson) and then NSH would consider doing that
