Trade for Draisatl

Created by: Renegade_H
Team: 2024-25 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: May 1, 2024
Published: May 1, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I cannot see EDM letting Draisatl bounce without receiving compensation. This is the most Im willing to go.

This only happen if Michkov comes over. 27M in cap space in 2025, 54M in cap space in 26 where the real fun begins.

Yes, I know some VAN fans don't want Coots. Let me dream a bit.

Canucks pass. Even with the retention it doesn’t make sense to take on a 6x6M 3C who’s 31 and struggled to end the season while giving up Garland who was one of our best forwards this season

Oilers won't do that. Even if they know they're going to lose him in 2025 they shouldn't throw away a year where they could genuinely win the Stanley Cup unless someone blows them out of the water with an absurd offer

Thats pretty risky to let him walk for nothing in return. Can oilers pay him 13M?

I think the basic pieces are there for Anaheim, just a matter of fine tuning the trade, but Foerster would absolutely be required.

they will have enough, if they don't they will make room asuming the cap goes up to 90M+

that year they will have Kane on his final year along with Kulak and Ekholm they will have the room

though if the Oilers were going to consider this as a possibility for the Flyers IMO it would start with York, Konecny, Multiple 1sts if not then Michkov

And imo all dependent on if they fell into drafting a LHC l. If not I see no reason to entertain a Zegras trade at all

What is the alternative? Telling McJesus (in his penultimate contract year) that the Oil need to take a step back to ensure the future? No chance you can win a Drai trade - they 100% keep him imo (even if he doesn’t extend) & go for the cup while they have him & McJesus in their prime

Back to moving the goalposts again are we? Shocker lol

Thought Foerster and a 1st was good enough.

Zegras must have had a big playoff moment in the last week to make that change.

Or not.

You know Drai wouldn’t get that and you know it lol. Nobody is paying that for a dude who will be a free agent even with an extension. You would think the Oilers of all teams would realize the Leafs way of doing things doesn’t work. Sure you could re-sign Drai and McDavid to enormous contracts and have give them nothing else to work with and then you will just become the Leafs 2.0

Given I slacked the requirements from Philly's first to the proposed Florida which will be much later you can take that comment about moving goal posts and shove it.

If you think ur getting that much for Zegras then good luck to you lol. It’s tiring dealing with you guys continue to expand ur ask by the daily. Ur GM would get laughed out of the league by other GMs if he acted like you guys on here do lol.
