We don’t. There’s no room for another big money forward on the devils, there are four already. That’s an expensive price to pay for a one year rental who has a history of being difficult on contract negotiations. That’s not a problem id like the devils to inherit. They have to extend both Luke Hughes and Simon Nemec in the next 26 months. There’s no room to fit Mitch Marner in there too.

Thanks for this. Over the years we have this silly posts where a high priced player is traded to a team (in this case New Jersey). But do we ever see the post of the team receiving the high priced player....rarely.

Devils probably have zero interest. We have other pressing needs…and it’s “more of the same” as Fitzy has often discussed. We need a veteran dman, a goalie, 3C, maybe a couple 4th liners.

Manson and McCabe are almost identical players but one shoots left and one shoots right.. McCabe can play his off-side well so there’s no need to give up assets for a similar defenceman that Toronto already has
