Description
Team has its hands tied for some large contracts but will get some relief in 1-2 years. The defense and goaltending is good enough to not be bottom dwellers, so some low risk moves are make to try and spark some offense. Tolvanen could score 20+ with top 6 minutes and Kubalik has a chance to add 15 in the bottom 6 and PP2. It’s not much, but it’s better than playing Cizikas on the 1st line…

How about:
Lee, JGP, Whalstrom and NYI 2024 1st to SJS for NJD 2024 2nd.?

Clears $12m off the NYI’s books for the next two seasons and gives them flexibility to add in FA.

Considering how well Tolvanen has fit in Seattle, and how he is young enough to still be a prime-age contributor by the time Beniers, Wright, and other prospects come into their own, I think the Kraken would just hang onto him instead of dealing him for a draft pick.
