WSH
  1. Knight, Spencer
  2. Luostarinen, Eetu
Additional Details:
From a value standpoint, this isn't incredible for the Panthers, but they have a lot of key players to re-sign this offseason, and desperately need to offload some cap space. Spencer Knight is someone who could blossom into a starter in the right situation, and someone who the Panthers really don't need. I'm sure they'd prefer a cheaper, more experienced option to back up Bob in Charlie Lindgren, who exceeded expectations in Washington this season. Luostarinen is another cap casualty for Florida. There are dozens of cheaper veteran guys in free agency who are better fits for Florida's forward core. Vinnie Iorio is another cheaper option who has legitimate potential to crack the starting roster on the Panthers' blue line next season with the likely departure of multiple defensemen in free agency. While you don't like to see the clear difference in value, it's a necessary move for Florida if they want to keep the players that make them a contending team.

Hatakka was very good what I saw from him with the Devils this year.
Wouldn't put it past him to beat Kevin Bahl out for the 3LHD spot come next season.
With that said, I like Alexeyev as well and wouldn't be too upset if this trade actually went down.

Kraken counter with a 4th but I like the thought of that trade and Dowd in Seattle.

I don't love Lindholm but if you can get him at that price definitely do it.

FLA trade I'll break into two -- 3rd for Luostorarinen is fine value but not the type of player they should be targeting IMO. Lindgren was their best player this year and Iorio is knocking on the door and developed in exactly the way you'd hope a 2nd rounder would, Knight is intriguing but goaltending isn't the issue for this team and I honestly think the move lowers both their floor and ceiling for next year.

Alexeyev is just a straight up better Hattaka while only being one year older -- higher draft pedigree, more NHL games/ready, better AHL career. Lateral at best move, no need to do it

Dowd 1000% can return more than a 3rd and as an expiring contract I'm not moving him for anything less than a 1st this offseason and otherwise waiting until the deadline
