Why would the sharks do that? no good reason for them unless capitals pay a lot to get rid of him. Plus Drouin has looked good only because he played on a team with Makar, Rantanen and Mckinnon. Its a trap. he no good.

I fully expect WSH to end up back in the bottom 10 next season. This year was an anomaly for the EC being so weak. WSH was pathetic in that playoff series.

Who is the last playoff team as bad as this year's WSH team? Massive negative goal differential on the season. Only real positive I can say about the team is they are good at getting points in close games, but they quit playing in a lot of games in season. Guess they are good at conserving their efforts.

This years team was not good at all. They will have the cap space and some assets to upgrade the team substantially if that’s the direction they go. Or they may lean into the rebuild. The rebuild is smarter obvi

Yeah agreed...the Caps were not good this year...which also says a lot about the other teams that they beat out (DET, PHI, and my personal fav...PIT) wink

DET is still in their rebuild. PHI is at the early end of their rebuild. PIT, like WSH, is in denial on the need to start rebuilding due to core aging star players.
