That has to do with your learning how to construct trades, which is to look at what the putative other team has in abundance and lacks in quality and quantity.

Only rub is that Mercer ends up with 4-year deal, which will walk him right to UFA. Would rather see a bridge deal, so we can get another bite of the apple (or just lock him up long-term).

Understand the thinking but we wanna make the team as strong as possible with Jack and Nico in their prime
